Hello everyone and welcome to Innovative Garage Door's 1st blog. We are here to help and give some tips on maintenance for your garage door and opener. This summer's pre-inspection should be as follows:
1. Close door, pull rope to use door manual lift. Is it heavy? Does it stick or bind? Try oiling all moving parts with 3 in 1 oil, sewing machine oil or pump can action (like the Tinman in The Wizard of Oz)
2. Check the safety reverse of the opener. Put a 2x4 down on floor, the door should reverse when it hits the 2x4.
